The RC-mini guys did this with one of their velodrome minis. The insides melted!

I've gone as low as 5.5? With a 16t pinion. No chance of top speed on a 70' straight, but braking stands the car on its nose.

Anyone know?
There has to have been someone out there that tried!
Nic Case broke 200mph last year. That as a years long, heavily sponsored, custom built effort. The fastest mini I know of was 116kph (72mph). This was more likely a years long, beer fuelled, spur of the moment thing.
