M2.5 x 8mm screws tend to work. Here is a link for 500 screws for AU$119. M2.6 screws are extremely rare, except on expensive hobby websites, and 0.1mm diameter makes hardly any difference.
First; you're 5 years late on this topic.
Second; if I try to use a 2.5mm screw on my Hitec servos, I can usually pull it back out with my hand. The proper M2.6 screw holds tightly in the same servos. $3 for 6 or 8 screws in the correct size is a lot more useful than 500 in the wrong size, especially when you only use 1-2 of them per car.
