I did try the hobbykings turnigy waterproof combo you mentioned above. I ordered at all 14 sets with 1900kv up to 2300kv because its really cheap! But 8 of them burned within the first 3 battery runs! The esc can be really dangerous! Please take care!

My recommendation is to use a 120A 4s esc like Hobbywing WP-SC8 or SCT-Pro or SkyRc Toro SC120 and a motor like SkyRc ToroX8 1900kv. Its not that expansive and many of our drivers run this without any problems and they are still fast!

The holes distance is the same, so 540 motors will fit. I will try a Tenshock SC-401 V2 3400kv motor the next weeks, it has a 5mm shaft. I want to run it with 3s LiPo. Maybe a good combination, lets see.
