can i ask what the typical or ideal weight of a b5m lite or reg factory team buggy should weigh for 17.5 spec class? ( minus battery)
im only asking because my son drives a b5m lite with LRP Gear and im running Blackbox 410r and mach3 both 17.5, my factory team with 410/M3 is much heavier but still faster, which ever of us is driving either or. the esc def outweighs his LRP, i dont want to add a bunch of more aluminum to these cars and make them heavier if it hurts us in times.

Weight might not be the problem. I've run a stock car anywhere from 165ish to 1510 and I personally couldn't tell if it had more rip or not. Gearing and timing on the end bell can make a huge difference, and every motor is slightly different and could need different things to get the best performance
