I have these motors (5200kv), amazingly fast but does get hot on 2s. No complaints have had these for over a year, I stopped worrying about burning them up because they were around $12 kids haven't been able to fry them yet.

I have this castle creations 0808 motor and staying cool on 2s. So far so good. I'll update after some more use. Loving it tho $36 when Castle Creations had a 27% off sale last month. Currently testing the 4100kv (I think it's a winner)

I have gone with the "Tactic" Servo brand not much testing yet but working good so far and it tracks straight. $16 at my local hobby shop, I am sure you can find them on eBay. Exact size as the stock. I'll post a model number tomorrow.

Batteries I use the ones pictured above 2s 2200mah battery excellent run times, tight fit but does fit. Bodies could use a little bit of trimming (I used my dremel with a sanding drum) but not needed to fit the wires.

Aluminum upgrades for brushless I have the aluminum drivetrain kits in 2 out of the 3 cars and found that the only "mandatory" is dogbones, you will go through alot on 2s so these are must haves (you can find them separate from the kits on ebay and maybe amazon) .

I have gone through 3 aluminum spur gears and not going back. Plastic ones work great meshed correctly but stock up just in case (less than $3 a piece).

Also I purchased my son's MT and daughter's BX new from the the local hobby shop. But I got smart about it, and found new rollers on eBay (instead of buying new for $100 then gutting them anyways and spending more on upgrades) so I got my DB for $46 shipped (new never ran) . I can send you a link to the seller if you want.

These are just some of my experiences with these cars. I run these with the kiddos or between runs from my 1/8 scale buggy and 1/10 SCTE Hope I gave some insight.
Here is some more of my findings pg 11 and 12. Hope I helped. (Castle motor is prob the best upgrade I have personally done)
