there is a hobbytown on speedway, from what i have seen many in tucson got spoiled while a indoor RC track was open. many are not able to handle inclement weather varying form the heat in summer to recent cold.
i talked to some and they are making trips to hobbytown-SRS in phoenix. i found this link with some pics, etc. very impressive

before phoenix had a indoor place to race, many would make trips to tucson, the situation has reversed.
