I still thought something was up so I grabbed a temp gun from Canadian tire and shot them both at the bulb from my desk lamp. Duratrax read 280f and the mastercraft one read 178 - 180ish. Has anyone had this issue?
I would check the temps of boiling water instead of a lightbulb since we all know water boils at 100c or 212f. This way you know for sure if your temp gun is out of calibration or not.
