Ok, I called the Horizon help # and got it fixed. They walked my thru the re-calibration process.
Apparently, with Spectrum remotes, if you hold the throttle in 100% reverse when you turn the radio on, it goes into calibration mode. The light will start blinking, and it will not control the car. Tech said most people don't know what they did, and turn the radio off, and that throws the calibration off.
Correct Calibration process - start with radio off.
1. Set throttle and steering trim all the way to the right.
2. Hold throttle to 100% reverse, and steering wheel 100% right, and turn radio on; light will start blinking.
3. Release trigger and wheel. Move throttle to 100% brake, then 100% throttle, then release.
4. Turn steering wheel all the way right, then all the way left.
5. turn radio off.
Done!
Don't forget to re-center both trim knobs when done.
As I said, the Horizon tech walked me thru this, and now everything is working great again.
Thanks, Horizon! Nice to see there is still good customer service around.
