I thought so too until I knocked a tooth out of my Futaba 9650. Luckily that track had gear sets so I bought 2. I will be buying a Savox metal gear when funds allow.
A note on the Savox servos: the servo post is a little offset compared to others. If you have a floating servo mount like the XRAY or tape it down it's no problem. If you have regular mounts it will affect the alignment!
