I personally haven't had any problems with the 9650 and I hit everything on the track. But if I need to replace it I'm going to try the Savox
Yeah, I thought my 9650 was invincible too until this past Sunday when I got side swiped. So I ordered 2 sets of new gears.

This setup is quite similar to the CRC front end. With this setup I can adjust ride height and droop by the turn of the screw/nut. It's a neat little setup, however, there is some play in the suspension setup and this might be a result of using old steering blocks. Maybe some fresh blocks will cure this problem. However, after some measurements I did I think the dimensions of the blocks and pins are slightly off. The pin is slightly smaller than the block and pivot balls which is causing the slop. If the tolerances were tighter then it would definitely reduce the amount of slop and work really well. That said, I would like to find a screw with a larger diameter of 2.50 mm (now 2.45mm) and with a longer shoulder. I want a longer shoulder so that the threaded portion of the screw wont rub up against and wear the pivot ball. I'll let you know how it checks out...
Have you seen the new Xenon frontend with the inboard dampers? I think they have it on the Destiny car. Wondering how that thing works.
