It sounds like you have the correct "SG style crank", and should fit. The GT2 was designed to use this type of motor. My old Team Losi GTX and Kyosho MP5 was designed to use the old "Standard style crank". I hated those old designs, was always nervous about cutting a brand new motor!
The stock collet should work, you will be able to tell when you go to assemble it! I personally never had a Trinity motor, but should be the same as other motors?
