Keep in mind... not all but "MANY" of the people that respond to "which is the best lathe threads" don't even own a good quality micrometer that will accurately measure down to tenths of thousanths......Carefully measuring the finished armature is the "only" way to tell for sure which lathes cut the most true.....most of the lower buget lathes Iv'e had(and Iv'e had quite a few) seem to be around the 1-2 thousanths mark.......probably plenty good for our application....but they're are better ones that cut true with in TENTHS of thousanths.......there's many features that seperate a good high quality lathe from a lower buget unit.......the only people that think otherwise are people that don't know what to look for...........
