That looks like a 3d printed part very similar to the one I got from shapeways, we have had durability issues with them unless you tape the battery in and don't run a battery strap they tend to break under the fan where the battery strap goes in.
Thanks that's good to know. I just saw Trinity released a fan mount that goes over the endbell... I may just try to use that instead.
