1) Just like any other part on the car, the less slop, the more precise the control. A tiny bit of slop might numb down some of the cars perceived edgyness, but go too far, and the car becomes unpredictable. I like having a pretty tight rack (heh), with a strong servo, myself

3) I never found my stock mounts to move in the slightest. The Jcon piece is a good looking piece for sure, but it's just bling to me.
