My apologies for the delay in responding.

It is great that people are interested! My colleague and I believe in offering more than just a dynamometer. We want to ensure that we can offer designers exactly what they need to get the best out of their motors. We are currently working on a series of motor- testing tutorials and your feedback and questions will be very helpful.

One of the projects we currently have under development is a free, open-source, user-generated motor database. Wouldn't it be great if you could access independent data for almost any motor on the market? Each motor in the database will include power and efficiency information for a large range of possible speeds and torques. With the database, it will be possible to objectively compare one motor to another. Hopefully, the database will encourage manufacturers to publish their motor specifications and ensure they are accurate.

I will be available to answer questions related to our dynamometer, or motor testing in general, in the thread created pphaneuf.
