Sounds like your having fun! That's cool.
The thing is don't be affraid to experiment a little, in practice that is. 12th scale parts like springs and stuff are cheap. For maybe $20 you can a whole pile of different stiffness springs and t-bars. You'll only learn more about the car and how to tune it. If you think the car is as good as it can be keep trying different things and keep good notes. Then come race day, put the setup on you know works!
