It does everything good. The power band is the most usable that I've come across. Its always there when you need it. The Elite 8 is not a screamer on the top end like the Bonito, but it got all of the top that you'll need.

I learned a lot from Neal at TNS over the years about motors, and one of the best tips that he has given me is to not run the top too lean. Many racers, including myself, habitually do this in an attempt to get fuel mileage. Doing so definitely leads to premature bearing failure as they need the fuel to maintain seal and keep dirt out, and overall less life expectancy.

Getting back to the Elite 8.....I love mine! on the right pipe/mani combo, it rocks, its easy to tune, and I still make the 10 min mark on most tracks with a relatively conservative tune.
