It will lock in that end of the vehicle. For example, if you remove the rear brace, the rear of the truck will flex and generate more overall traction. If you get into high grip situations, it can make the truck feel a bit numb or sluggish. Also, if you remove the braces, you have a better chance of tweeking the chassis in a nasty crash. My suggestion: avoid nasty crashes.
