I still wouldn't mind getting a little more bottom end from my non modified R8 for buggy, but think I found out why I seemed to lack power compared to running at my home track. Ran a onroad race in LA last month and won a gallon of fuel. It's 25% onroad fuel with less nitro and more caster than I usually run in my 30% offroad fuel. Should I pull one head shim and still repipe? Fear farm has some super big jumps that are close together, so low end power is crucial. Maybe I should bump up to 7mm restrictor too?
If running 25% you could remove one thin .1mm shim, it also depends on what plug you are running. I like the 0801 for more bottom end and the best mileage.
