I doubt it I'm not racing just using my RC always on the track with some friends to have some fun. I also own a sidewinder 3 to replace a defective VXL Esc from Traxxas and was (for the money...) very surprise, this esc is great and I can program it with Castle Link which we can't with Traxxas esc. This one of the reason I was asking about Sidewinder 8.
