One thing that was great with the RC10GT was they were as fast or faster than the rest with used tires at the end of the race. All the other teams changed tires and did not really make an impression as you can tell by the overall standings.
Hey Captain Bitter, those are called Prototype parts that will find there way onto the HobbyShop shelves for the average racer once the goeometry is right.
I think that it is a realy good testimate to the original design of the RC10GT (1995?) that a PROTOTYPE(one off?) part can be added to make the truck faster than a truck designed last year.
You would think that with all the technology that has passed since then that they could have found a way to create mechanical traction. So the average customer wouldn't have to change tires (another $30) 1/2 way through a main to try to be competitive with an RC10GT.
