what do you guys think these rules really accomplished other then slowing the cars down ? many of these specific GT engine options are as much money as their onroad counterparts anyways....So your not really saving guys any money, most are ending up spending just as much as if there was no 5 port rule present anyways...... Then the 7 mm insert hurts performance severely... So you have guys paying big bucks for overpriced 5 ports then choking them back with a tiny carb insert....doesn't seem like a very effective rule to me ! this is no different then the pipe rules some of the offroad sanctions try to enforce.... they have a 3 chamber rule in effect for noise regulation but then never do they actually test how loud each pipe is...ends up we have 3 chamber pipes that every bit as loud as the 2 chamber pipes except they slow the cars down.... really serves no practical purpose...the cars aren't any quieter they are just slower.... A bunch of guys making ineffective rules that don't accomplish anything but making the nityro engines operate less efficiently ! they are no quieter and they are no less expensive !

not really well thought out IMO !
