I even had a few spills and an encounter with the kink at Tamiya into the boards hard. I broke nothing and neither did the others I knew running it. Are the breakages happening on carpet with unforgiving wood boards?
So far I'm very pleased with the car and the durability. Just took me some time to find a setup that fit my driving style but once I did car felt easy to drive, fast and on pace with top 5 guys in 17.5.
all the HB/HPI cars have always been called fragile - but, like you, I've hardly broke anything on any of mine over the years.. and that includes hard crashes and full-throttle side impacts
guess it boils down to driving, track board material, and bad luck
