Nope no extra battery and no fan needed, doesn't even get hot. But with the fan you would probably need the receiver pack battery. I posted a pic of my layout a few pages back.
+1 I've been using a Justock with no booster or battery too. The servo is fractionally slower but it works just fine for me!
