I'd say it's worth a try, I am using one just for testing coming from a T4 2015, a lot more support for the T4 though so be prepared to do a lot of reading. Also I find with these specialised cars a few people sort of get caught up in their own conversations on these threads so the new to the car person can get forgotten in the mix and goes back to what they know.
First run with mine I was a second a lap slower than my X Ray (in 21.5) but identified switching to a Tekin esc as a more likely cause (although I have changed a few settings since)
