The consensus is that Cyan-DblPink/Orange and Magenta-Dbl pink is faster than the old plaid/purple combo under all conditions. The Dbl pink foam is softer than purple however the characteristics of the foam go beyond just being softer. The dbl pink gives less sidebite and more forward bite. This helps the car rotate but allows you to still put the power down off the corner.
