Do they not test for thermal at Thorpe? I bet the repeated heat cycles is what caused the tip to crack and separate.


EDIT: Placed order for an AE driver bit today. Hope to get it by Sunday.
If this breaks I'm also going to check Snap-on if they have a hex bit like this.

If not, going back to my Wera's and Wiha's. I have tools from them from decades ago still working great.
