That's true. I suppose it depends on what one thinks racing is about. I like large turnouts with close racing and scale looking bodies. What has gotten better is setup knowledge, battery technology and chassis design.
Agree on all points above but why do you think you cannot have this if you allow motor A vs motor B if the regs are the same for everyone.
TITC used a handout outlaw motor Hobbywing Bandit same for everyone and produced great racing.
