Depends, if you're running mod then it's a decent option but if your running stock or super stock the added weight isn't worth it. I'd just run a tight diff, even on a med traction clay track I run it hand tight and it's still fairly smooth and no barking.
Since the trucks have longer arms and bigger tires there's more leverage on the diff so running a little tighter is OK.
