Never heard anything like that. All I hear is that ORCA is one of the absolute top brands and their ESCs and motors are said to run extremely smooth. Personally I'm running some ORCA stuff (planning on more) - didn't have any problems so far. And I haven't used much other stuff, so I cannot really compare.
The only downside appears to be that ORCA doesn't deliver much quantity to Germany - and at least for ESCs I'd like to have my dealer in country (just in case anything
does happen with it). On motors, I'm a little more relaxed and bought some from Hong Kong as well.
