The white machined pistons will be of a tighter tolerance meaning there is less blow by than the pack of black molded pistons. This makes a big difference and may be a plus or a minus for you depending on how much you like to tinker.

So, if you are trying to copy a setup, I would use the pistons they say. If you are trying to get close but want to play with some stuff, you can start at a much better place by using a precision system and then drilling as you see fit.

I have seen both methods work for folks, just depends what type of person you are
