Hi all!
I just installed a Teking RX8 Gen2 and a Pro4HD in my SCT410.1, all great and I love the new HD motor!
I use Tekin in all my Off-road cars and will not shift to anything else in the near future
However, I also bought the new Hotwire thinking this was a Bluetooth/ WiFi connecting to the Android app for easy peasy use on track for quick adjustments, But not, a bit disappointed about that but no biggie.
But, taking out the small fan connector every time you need to connect hotwire is a fiddly (At least initially when you set up a new system). So I was thinking making a y-lead/ straight lead and use conventional connectors.
So my question is:
1. Have anyone done this with luck?
2. If so, can you still have fan connected in a y-lead setup while in hotwire interface on android or PC? (Don't want to fry anything and heard that some had issues with fans?)
3. If not one of the above, a straight lead should still work if you disconnect the fan, this will make it a bit easier disconnect the fan and connect the hotwire when you can pull a connector on a longer lead. Its all about 5 min of soldering...
Any thoughts?
Erik
