Does anyone have any thoughts on the Integy aluminum shock towers? I just broke the rear one on my B4.2, and as a beginner learning the ropes, I figure I'm probably going to be hard on parts. Parts like shock towers and a-arms are best left composite (plastic). Not only are big parts made of aluminum going to be really heavy, instead of breaking they bend. Which unless you notice right away, will have a severely negative effect on handling. Not to mention that if you make something stronger, something else is going to have to take the energy instead. Expensive stuff like chassis'.
Your best bet is to slow down and crash as little as possible. The speed will come more quickly if you limit the time upside down.
