I think the track has made great progress with the tiller and compactor. It will of course get rutted over time (can't prevent that, it just happens), but the compactor definitely helps. It's also great to see the surface remain somewhat loamy throughout the day. The loamy surface makes for great racing and is a nice change of pace from running near-slicks on indoor tracks. I hope it stays that way for the rest of the outdoor season.
+1 on the compactor, hats off to Will for pulling the trigger on that purchase.

I'd prefer to deal with the loam over the ruts but ruts are part of racing. With the compactor though it will make patching those that much easier.
