What's the best BRUSHED esc currently?

I've been digging a bit and I know the brushed technique is old, so I only find very old reviews about it. However, I am going to race an F103 next season, and I am allowed 2 different brushed motors and one sensorless brushless by the rule book. The sensorless brushless in my experience is way to crude on acelleration, dosing power is very important with an F1, so I choose brushed. I have read the Corally MMS 4 is the best, back in 2009, and Novaks are good, too, in 2011. The MMS 4 is hard to get, Novaks are still available but what is currently the best brushed controller? Is there a successor of the MMS 4 with it's rpm driven drive frequency (is that English)?
