Not sure how I ended up with such a long cut on my M01 body for a moderate speed crash into a foam protected shelf leg. My other M03+ Rover bodies would've probably come out unscathed.
I suppose being a 15-20yr old body, the pc may have degraded and became more brittle/flaky? The cut goes straight down the orange line.

I thought about using liquid adhesive with drywall mesh, but if I crash again and the paint chips under the pc, I won't be able to fix it. So used 3 layers of foil tape as usual.

The tape holds well so the outer decals are more for cosmetics to hide the line.

Here's foil tape if anyone's interested. It's adhesive backed, conforms to shape very well. Does not stretch and can sustain about 180F of heat. If used in layers it can sustain some level of impacts. Not permanent like adhesive + mesh, but there is zero dry time, no toxic smell, easy to use, can take it to the track or parking lot for quick fix, etc.

Thinner variant.
