Yes I'd certainly expect different volumes from different motors. Just like say a 4.5T responds differently to full throttle than a 17.5T, I'd expect different responses to the ESC beep signal.

Similarly, if a motor was smoked I'd expect reduced performance, and reduced beep volumes.

Of course both could be true! The motor and ESC could both be compromised if abused or whatever.
