Hello, ya'll. I'm going to be stepping into the realm of 1s/3.5 racing. Before buying a 1s specific esc. I was wondering if there is anyway I can use my Hobbywing 120A V3.1 with a 6.6 LiFe reciever pack or RCDynamics booster?. Is this possible with this esc? I spoke with some people at a Japanese hobby shop and they mentioned its not possible. I know on the box it specifies 4.8~7.4 input voltage, however, will the esc get the proper amout of power to the 3.5 motor?
Of course you can. My friend has this same esc with RCDynamics booster, take red wire out of ESC's servowire. Before that, remove voltage cut-off from esc settings.
6.6Life is okay also, you have to remove red wire also.
I've RCDynamics & Orion R10.1 in my car. Have also Protek 200mAh Life in my box.
