Well that is a matter of both opinion and setup. In my opinion the cars I found handled best for me have been in-line cars from the EV10 to my old Darkside car and my XTI. I've just found I have been able to setup those cars better for my driving style. The way I see it is in an off-set battery or crosswise battery configuration, batteries vary in weight from battery to battery even within the same model battery. So every time you put in a new battery you are changing the balance of the car left to right. With cross wise batteries the battery has no cells where the bullet plugs are so are lighter on that side of the battery. With an in-line battery changing the battery changes the balance of the car from front to back so is less likely to tweak the car.
