Yeah if he is running the 5.5 that is the issue like you said. I run a 6.5 and have my epa set at 85 percent. Unless you run a whole qualifier with zero mistakes then that motor isn't gonna help you. Guys have to realize they would be faster with less motor.
I am the perfect example of less motor I am faster. I had a 5.5. Way too fast. Put an 8.5 in it. Much smoother. One thing I also learned. Tires are 95% of the whole setup.
