I do agree with Bob, the high majority of 1/8 racers I see are generally way over powered. They are spinning their wheels, sliding all over the place and say "my tires are wrong" or "need to change diff oil". All they need to do is slow the motor down. On VTX8 we would lower the punch or even run at 85-90% forward power -- still have enough to compete. With control.
Trains and Lanes, Hobby Hut, Mushroom Bowl and LCRC are the more popular tracks in our area (within 2 hours of Philly). Hit me up when you are heading our way and we'll try to coordinate
