Did you ask / did they offer to replace it with standard aluminum ones instead? Heck, if there is snapping issues I probably would want the standards.
Do the kits not include the plastic ones at all?

+1 . Pete's a good guy and that extra touch he offers is greatly appreciated. Looking forward to what he offers for upgrade "options".
As a side note, looks like the EB48SLs are being shipped out now it appears.
