Reverse on the RSX has two modes.

Reverse delay requires one full second of the esc seeing neutral(uninterrupted) to engage reverse.

Instant reverse gives you braking until the car slows, then lift and then reverse. The RSX is build primarily for racing so reverse is a bit different. We are working on some reverse adjustments now that this esc is finding it's way into crawlers, etc.
