Yes I have raced on tracks with the straight set up as a "cross town expressway" as it was announced in Tampa, FL. That worked pretty well too but this should be fine. The driver's stand is a 20' long by 8' high(inside) steel storage container. Then we are building a deck another 10" higher on top of that, so you should be able to see all of the track no problem whatsoever.
It was drawn in paint yes, kind of a pain.
