Why does it need to be a spec tire for everything? Screw that. Use the lilac spec stripes for 17.5 but open tire for 13.5 and mod. That way both sides of the argument can have a class they are happy with.

I'd throw 13.5 in the spec tire pot, though. Let it be the big race Pro/Am mixer that Super Stock is meant to be, and put the professionals on the same tires as the plebes.
