I'd have to disagree with "everyone settles on what works best at their club anyway". At least where I've raced it seems that the flavor of the week is just that, there is no consensus best compound. Im new to 1/12 and I ask a fair amount of questions to various, more veteran drivers. On any given week I've had 6-8 people tell me 6-8 different compounds that they running, all with good results.
