I'm against Spec tires.

Lipo, Brushless, Rubber TC tires, have all been an effort to help things and they each open there own can of worms.
Spec tires will be no different with the special batches favoring one end of the shore range or another. And with the wide range and generations of carpet out there, a single compound for everywhere is not realistic. And comparing it to WGT is not practical since those cars are so under powered and run such a wide rear tire they could get traction on about anything. We tried it toward the end of the Foam TC class, the tires were inconsistent from race to race. But then again I guess SPEC Foam did save FOAM Touring.
