Formula 1 Class
1. Brushless Motor –
a. Speed Passion CONTROLLED ESC (Stock Club Race version only) + MOTOR (17.5T) COMBO
b. Motor timing adjustable allowed (Motor Timing Board Modification not allowed)
c. Any attempt to modify or to influence the ability of the motor is not allowed (Ceramic bearing and rotor modification is NOT ALLOWED).
d. Wires of speed controller can be soldered directly to motor.
2. Brushless E.S.C –
a. Speed Passion CONTROLLED ESC (Stock Club Race version only) + MOTOR (17.5T) COMBO
b. Battery wires can be modified at the bottom of connecter to accept other types of speed controller connecters. Wire length must exceed 3cm.
c. Any attempt to modify or to influence the ability of the E.S.C is not allowed (Inclusive of adding additional capacitors and other E.S.C influencing device.) Only battery plugs can be changed.
3. Tires, Rims and Inserts –
a. Open rubber tires only (NO sponge tires are allowed)
b. Only 1 set throughout the race including final (Tires will be marked each round with sticker or colour)
c. Replacement for damaged wheel (Eg. Cracked, broken) is allowed but subjected to approval from Race Director.
4. Bodyshells –
a. F1 Scale with molded front & Rear Wing (no handmade wings allowed)
b. All car bodies must be painted and complete with decal sticker.
5. Drive Train & Transmission –
a. Solid Axle drive system. Full independent rear suspension system is not allowed
b. Open gear ratio
6. Chassis –
a. Tamiya F104, VBC Flash, HPI F Ten, Yokomo YRF001…. Etc
b. No-IFS Suspension system
c. Option parts made for the car are allowed only.
d. Clearance under main chassis parts must exceed 3mm before the race.
e. Any form of driving aid is not allowed to be use. (Eg. Gyro, Active Steering Assist Unit)
f. Min Weight - 1100g (Ready to race with transponder and bodyshell)
7. Batteries –
a. 2S 7.4v LiPos, 6.6v LiFes. (Only hardcase or enclosed type batteries).
b. Shorty packs are allowed.
c. Tamiya oval type LiPos allowed, Square type LiPos allowed.
d. Resting voltage of 2 cell LiPo should be NOT MORE than 8.44V.
8. Race Format and Condition -
a. All cars’ weight will be inspected after each race.
b. 3 Rounds of Heats (5min)
c. Fastest Time Qualifying (FTQ)
d. 3 Finals for A Main (2 best out of 3)
e. 2 Finals for B Main (1 best out of 2)
f. 1 Final for C Main
g. Top 3 fastest cars will be inspected by Race Organizers (Motor, battery, ESC).
Important Remarks: NO house transponders provided. Racers are required to bring/buy their own.
