Default Building questions

In building the CD3....I found that the front driveshaft where it goes into the drive cup...or as the manual calls it...the "bevel gear cap joint"....is really tight.... is this suppose to be like this? The center cup is loose compared to the front. The front cap joint has that metal reinforcing ring around it because of it's reduced diameter to clear the steering mechanism. Will this loosen up after a few runs? Also the ball cups/rod ends that come with the kit are way too tight causing alot of friction in the steering setup. I used RPM ones on the steering rods on the outboards.....but had to keep the stock ones on the steering bellcrank as the RPM ones are too big and they hit before full travel limiting steering throw. Again how has everyone addressed this. Any advice will be appreciated. Thanks
