The keep on has more top end than a virtus. The virtus more bottom end than a keep on. In my opinion the 2 engines (keep on and virtus) suit different tracks depending on the layout and when I was running novarossi I had both in my box for that very reason. You are only refering to the engine but all your arguements can probably narrowed down by choosing the right exhaust, manifold, gearing and gearbox shift moment to optimise the performance.
With the N21-5T stock class I have seen many differences in the configuration of the motor. Fanally on the track with the right gearing and exhaust they were all running the same.
